Voka Health Community
The demands placed on the healthcare sector are changing rapidly. The number of chronic patients is increasing, aging is increasing, and patients behave like customers. At the same time, government funding is under pressure. In order to provide an answer to this, the healthcare sector needs to think less from the existing range and to focus more on the patient-client's demand. With Voka Health Community, profit and non-profit organizations work together to realize the innovation in health care in Flanders and Brussels, based on the conviction that more and better results can be achieved together than alone.
What does this mean in practice?
You can visit the Health Community throughout the year. They organize around twenty sessions on different themes such as:
- Innovation, technology and digital transformation
- Integrated and qualitative care
- Prevention, well-being and work
- Financing, incentives and social security
During these sessions various experts and experienced experts will present and there will also be sufficient space to ask questions, to exchange experiences and to network. In addition, each trimester there is a community meeting on which large policy files are discussed. The relevant policy actors are present, such as for example federal health minister Maggie De Block and Flemish minister of welfare Jo Vandeurzen. As such, a direct dialogue can take place between the members and the politicians. Finally, we organize a process for innovation and business development and a number of paying activities such as the annual Health Conference, the knowledge sessions and a foreign study trip.
